Wheels to Work
This programs sells safe reliable cars well below retail prices. The donors then receive the maximum tax deduction. Reliable transportation is not only convenient, but necessary when it comes to getting to a job, making certain children get to where they need to be and having choice mobility. The demand for this program exceeds supply, so donations are always welcome. To qualify for the program, you must have the following:
Lancaster County resident
Valid drivers’ license
Proof of full or part time employment
Ability to obtain PA required car insurance

All LCCC Wheels to Work program vehicles are serviced by Auto One.
All LCCC Wheels to Work program vehicles are inspected and free of major mechanical issues.
All LCCC Wheels to Work program vehicles are sold to qualified program participants at a discounted rate.
We accept your donated vehicle, assess its safety and reliability, then sell it to a qualified working family at a reduced price. You will receive a tax deduction that represents the fair market value of the car. Vehicles can be dropped off at Lancaster County Council of Churches at 812 North Queen Street, Lancaster or picked up by our staff. We will make sure all the paperwork is taken care of. Wheels to Work is looking for vehicle donations. Currently, 63% of Lancaster County does not have reliable transportation. The Council is working on changing this statistic. Donate a car that is taking up space in your garage and receive a tax write off. Your donation will be sold well below retail prices to a family who qualifies for this program.
